Our history as a church starts with the vision and faithfulness of another group of Ottawa Christians at Bethel Pentecostal church who had a desire to see the city's west end changed by the love of Christ. That vision became our beginnings as City View pentecostal Church which was dedicated in July 1956 in a new building on Merivale Road. As the city and church grew, plans were made to move further west to our current location on Greenbank Road and with the move came the name change from "City View" to "Woodvale" borrowing on the name of the location in which it was built.

Our desire is to be a place where people of all nationalities and generations can feel welcome because we know that in addition to our precious relationship with Jesus, our community is made strong through the diversity that age and culture brings.
