  • Christians who want to brush up on the basics.

  • Newcomers to the church.

What happens at Alpha?

1. We have a great meal together as we unwind from the busy day.
2. We watch a video talk given by Nicky Gumbel on one of the following interesting subjects:

  • Christianity: Boring, untrue, and irrelevant?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can I be sure of my faith?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • How does God guide us?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • What does the Holy Spirit do?
  • How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
  • How can I overcome evil?
  • Why and how should we tell others?
  • Does God heal today?
  • What about the church

3. After each talk there is a time in small groups to discuss any questions or issues arising from the talk. This is a time to get to know each other and learn together - no question is considered too simple or too hostile.
